Coming Soon… The New Patient Safety Officer Society (PSOS.ORG) will soon be releasing a completely new collaborative and information sharing web portal for healthcare professionals engaged in reducing medical errors and adverse events. The new portal is free of charge and designed specifically for healthcare professionals. The site includes:
When an adverse event takes
place, studies show that dealing with the situation quickly can
dramatically improve the patient’s outcome. In addition, responding
quickly can benefit the healthcare organization through: reduced claims,
lower insurance premiums, compliance with regulations and shorter
lengths of stays. By improving the collaboration and sharing of
information amongst patient safety professions, PSOS.ORG hopes to
improve awareness of new techniques and methods. It is our hope that
this new collaborative healthcare portal will help enhance safety for
all patients. The new site is planned for April 2008. So bookmark this site now. The new PSOS.ORG portal will not sell member information or lists of members. The confidentiality of members is a high priority. Membership will be limited to those who are employed by healthcare institutions or nonprofit organizations. Vendors or nonprofessionals will not be allowed. The cost of developing and
maintaining PSOS.ORG has been underwritten with a grant from

page ads (see to the right). The site will not include photo ads
or blinking banners and ads will be relevant to those who use the site. |
